Vista Trail Residential Roadway Closure
Blackfalds, AB –We’d like to inform residents that the gravel portion of Vista Trail north of Valmont Street will be closed starting May 27 until further notice.“The closure is a result of the exciting increased development in our community,” shared Director of Infrastructure and Planning Services Preston Weran, adding, “the road will soon undergo a permanent asphalt and concrete upgrade built by the developers in anticipation of a new multifamily community node. This is a positive step towards enhancing this neighbourhood for future growth.”Detours will be available from Valmont St. to Westbrooke Rd and Aspen Lakes Blvd to Westbrooke Rd.The closure will start on May 27 and is expected to continue throughout the summer until construction can be approved and completed this year.“This is a private roadway, and we want to thank the developers for the temporary improvements previously built and for allowing it to be open for public access over the last 8 years,” said Weran.Thank you to everyone for their cooperation during this time.
